do.

80/35: day two.

since we'd stayed out so late the night before, none of us were exactly chomping at the bit to get down to the festival on sunday. we took it slow in the morning and made our way down there around 2:00. the sky was cloudy and it was drizzling. you could tell the whole mood of the crowd was really mellow. but it was nice. everyone was still having a great time, it was just a different vibe than the day before.
our friends joseph & joey had just moved into this fantastic loft right downtown (a block or two from the festival), so we walked over to their place to meet up with them and get out of the drizzle for a bit.
erika & i were a bit frizzed out from the drizzle.

joseph tries to get everyone moving with his psychedelic glowstick show.

eventually we rallied and made our way back to hear some more music. one of the best parts of the experience, for me, was just being in the same place with so many of our friends. we'd walk for a while and run into some people. listen to some music with them, part ways. then see someone else we know & love.

this is topher. he is joseph's lil brother.
he has a constant rotation of lady friends. this one, in particular, had mile long legs.
we couldn't stop staring.
i also ran into so many old friends. people i literally hadn't seen in years. it was awesome. in case you hadn't noticed, i just really love people. i kept gushing, "i just love seeing all these people!" "i love watching everyone!" it was such a unique,  diverse collection of people. and everyone was happy. happy to be there. happy to be alive. i know, i know, i'm gushing again. it was just a really positive atmosphere. (maybe i spent too much time with hippies this weekend....)

anyway, we saw some fantastic music and ended the day with grace potter (incredible and, of course, gorgeous) and of montreal (bizarre in the best possible way). of montreal puts on a full-sensory show. great music, outlandish costumes, drama--it's quite a show. and a great way to end the weekend! we danced like fools in the vip section (yeah, it's too easy to sneak in there...) and after their grand finale, we made our way to the gas lamp for some blues & even more dancing.
in short: it was an epic weekend.
