dream.

if you're a mom, you are probably very aware that mother's day is this sunday.
if you are a dad reading this, let this be your fair warning that
mother's day is this sunday! expectations are pretty low this year since the dad in our family is in a land where they don't celebrate mother's day. but a girl can dream....

i saw this needlepoint sampler kit on making it lovely, and decided it must be mine! it would probably take me a year to complete, but it'd be totally worth the strained eyes and sore back.

do you think it'd be weird to have an ABC print hanging in my room?
i'm not sure i could part with it!

 .

at the wedding this past weekend, a friend of mine had this gorgeous beaded bracelet. (the picture does not do it justice.) i looove all the patterns and colors but knew it was not meant to be when i saw the price. even i'llweariteverysingleday! claims wouldn't earn me this gorgeous gal.

but maaaybe the mini?
.

though not as stylish as my dream bracelet, i could really use one of these arm bands to hold my phone while i run.
.
if mr.a were home, my dream mother's day would include sleeping in and a brunch date at the cafe in ames. guys, if you're reading this, take your mom/wife/grandma--whoever! this place will not disappoint. incredible food, great ambience, and not too girly for you manly-men.
.

so there's my mother's day dream list.
but in reality, a day filled with snuggles from my girls and maybe a phone call from my man would suit me just fine.

i hope your mother's day is a little bit dreamy, a little bit of reality, and a whole lot of lovely.

  7. That needlepoint is super cute... it won't take you that long. If you run into problems with it, let me know. I'm actually pretty good at that stuff. :)

  8. The Cafe is my favorite restaurant in the entire country! I love their lettuce wraps with plum jalepeno sauce. Next time you are in Ames, you should try the Mediterranean Crepes from Stomping Grounds (it's located on Welch Ave.). To die!
