see.

when anon says, "jump!" i say, "how high?"
after i posted pictures of our newly-painted & roofed house, i had a request to get a better shot of the whole shabang. these are for you, anonymous!!

still not 100% on the door color. i did a little playing around & when i added this darker accent color, i liked the red a lot more:

or here it is with orange:
how do you guys feel about the darker peaks? obviously it looks a little funny since i just did this with microsoft paint, but what do you think of the idea in general?
here it is with our old blue door:
thoughts?

  6. 1. I *heart* you!
    2. Red door (definitely!)
    3. Dark peaks are a nice accent with the red door, but may distract a teeny bit from your pop of red.

  7. Love the red door and I think the peaks would look great! We put one on our house when we painted last spring...I think there's a pic on my fb somewhere of it. Anyway I think it gives it an updated look on an older house

  8. love the red(darker) or blue door with the dark peaks but NO dark garage door.

i do attest. the ride-on was right there. i still can't believe we finally met in person & had a conversation...i wish i would have dressed up a little more. ah....the things you wish you could redo on a first date. oh, i mean....

let's play sometime soon! oh, and the kids can come too.

  9. I really love the peaks with the red door - not orange... How about flower boxes beside the front door?

  10. Thank you for responding to my request! It made my day! The house looks amazing as is. Don't go messing with a good thing :) The colors look very rich, warm and inviting. It doesn't even look like the same house. One possible suggestion would be an awning or another little peaked roof over the front door to protect visitors from the weather. Thank you again for the additional photos...

  11. I like the red door...I say no peaks but maybe brown/black shutters to add contrast instead?
I love it though! It looks so classy! :-)

  13. My vote is dark peaks with red door. (Maybe not too dark on the accent)
